Pellet in circle; around circle, 'al-malik Rujjar al-mu‘tazz billah' ('The king Ruggero exalted in God' in Kufic); in outer margin, mint and date in Kufic. Rev. Cruciform scepter between IC - XC and NI-KA; in outer margin, mint and date in Kufic. Friedberg 877. Spahr 63. An attractive and unusually complete example. Minor areas of weakness and the flan slightly wavy near the edge, otherwise, good very fine.
